Chiming ropes and bell pulls are used in swing chiming bells or to operate hammers striking stationary bells. Both chiming ropes and bell pulls are available in flax yarn, or where damp conditions prevail, a polypropylene yarn is available.
Chiming Ropes have an 18 inch sally. Bell pulls have a 15 inch sally and are used for lighter weight bells.

In situations where the bells are located outside the church and are exposed to the elements, it is normal to have a wire rope connecting these bells to a flax rope inside the church. We supply wire rope and all of the fitting associated. We also include an eye splice in the flax rope to allow it to connect to the metal rope.
Our wire rope is a 5mm diameter steel wire rope, and costs £2.75 per metre
We also supply wire rope grips at a cost of £1.25 each and metal thimbles at a cost of £1.00 each.
